- Wolf Design Entertainment have accused Mampintsha and DJ Tira of stealing the track 'Khoningane Lay'ndlini'
- The track was allegedly produced by an up and coming Durban based DJ, Sabelo Khumalo, aka R. Rei
- R. Rei's manager has stated that they do not know how Mampintsha and DJ Tira got the track, but that it does not belong to them
It seems that Mampintsha may have taken credit for a song that is actually not entirely his. It has been said that Mampintsha allegedly took full credit for the song ‘Khoningane Lay'ndlini’, which is said to be the original work of an up and coming Durban based DJ, Sabelo Khumalo, aka R. Rei.
The song ‘Khoningane Lay'ndlini’ was apparently inspired by the alleged abuse story of Babes Wondumo. The song has caused quite the stir.
Briefly.co.za was approached by Wolf Design Entertainment, who has accused Mampintsha and DJ Tira of stealing their artist's track. Wolf Design Entertainment stated that they had released the track on datafilehost, on 16 March, weeks before Mampintsha and DJ Tira released their version.
R. Rei stated his case in a video that he posted online. The DJ states that DJ Tira and Mampintsha have taken his track without even crediting him for it. The DJ and his management company are blowing up social media.
Mfundo Khumalo, R. Rei’s manager, told Briefly.co.za that they do not know how Mampintsha and DJ Tira got the track, because they did not send it to them. Mfundo and R, Rei went on Nanda FM today to tell their story.
Mampintsha, nor DJ Tira, have stepped forward to give comment, so, at this point, the allegations made by Wolf Design Entertainment, cannot be confirmed.
