Limpopo residents were surprised to see an unusual sighting on Saturday.
A Nissan X-Trail SUV was seen suspended in mid-air after it crashed into the wall of a shopping centre.
The vehicle was pictured with a large part of it sticking out and the front end stuck in the wall against some of the mall’s signage.
News 24 reported that police are investigating a case of negligent driving as confirmed by SAPS representative, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.
Briefly.co.za understands the vehicle was seen after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign, swerved and bumped over stones.
As a result, the vehicle crashed into Marula Mall in the Alldays CBD.
The driver of the vehicle is a teenage male, who apparently disappeared soon after the crash.
However, he has since re-emerged and is said to have a valid driver’s licence.
Three other teenage occupants were travelling in the vehicle as well.
The passengers were rushed to a nearby clinic, but no serious injuries have been reported.
