In most African societies, marriage is a very important aspect in a woman’s life and it is no wonder that some women feel they have achieved a great feat after they manage to tie the knot.
It is not strange for one to hear stories of how newly married ladies stop being friendly with their unmarried female friends because they do not want to be influenced badly or they feel they are no longer on the same level.
Well, a lady identified as Tegs (@Mariogaaa) on Twitter took to the microblogging site to share her experience with an old classmate who is now married.
According to her, she saw her old secondary school mate recently and decided to greet her. She called out the friend’s name but there was no response and she had to ask if the friend no longer recognised her.
Shockingly, the friend responded that she feels it’s disrespectful for Tegs to refer to her by name seeing as she is now a married woman with kids.

However, rather than be fazed by her friend's reply, Tegs revealed that she made sure to speak her mind. See her tweet below:
A number of people were also quite amused by the exchange that they shared their opinions. Some were of the opinion that Nigerian ladies like to act brand new once they get married.
