Female cop filmed kicking lady: "It's like watching the Teletubbies"

A female SAPS officer was caught on video kicking and hitting a civilian and the footage sparked quite the debate on social media.

On Saturday, Yusuf Abramjee shared a video of a female cop assaulting a woman. The footage showed two female officers in an argument with a lady before the one cop pushes her to the ground.

After she fell, the cop went on to kick and slap her before they were separated. However, moments later the officer's temper flared up again and she took a go at the lady in a second round.

According to Abramjee's post, the incident was filmed in Tsolo, Eastern Cape. Briefly.co.za gathered no information was provided on what started the altercation.

South Africans were left divided over the footage, with some defending the female officer while others accused her of taking the law into her own hands.

Siya, who goes by the Twitter handle‏ @Siyabon03334729, commented: "How can you do such thing while wearing uniform!!! Unprofessional officer with only Grade 12 certificate."

While some were debating whether or not the cop's actions were wrong, others poked fun at her level of fitness.

Andreas Ngcobo, who goes by the Twitter handle‏ @AndreasNgcobo, commented: "The level of unfitness! Was that supposed to be a kick?"
Another tweep, @FknJannie, wrote: "It's like watching the Teletubbies..."
