The gates are a perfect fit for the UK station, not only because they are highly secure, but also due to their neat look and efficient way of stacking when opened. Additionally, they are easy to use for most people, even those of less-than-average strength, Briefly.co.za found.
The gates also have an innovative emergency escape system which is important considering the number of people who use the underground station and the threat of terrorism in public spaces.
Trellidor, whose homeground is in Durban, spent over a year and almost R3 million pioneering its star product, the Trojan 3 EMESC T3000 gate, reports Business Insider.
The company says it has sent its product to a number of international companies.
