Malema: People shouldn't get 'palpitations' over Mandela's daughters

Julius Malema has reacted to a photo shared by spokesperson Dali Mpofu showing Nelson Mandela's daughters donning EFF caps. The party's leader says that it had simply been a light-hearted moment and no need for concern.

Dali Mpofu, EFF spokesman, recently had Mzansi dying of curiosity after posting a photo of himself with two of Nelson Mandela's daughters.

Briefly.co.za reported that Mpofu had hinted at a possible political change for the two sisters, who could be seen wearing EFF caps.

However, Julius Malema has responded to the photo and the buzz surrounding it, saying that it had simply been a fun moment among family members.

The Economic Freedom Fighter leader denied having persuaded the daughters of the most iconic ANC leader to jump ship to his party, saying that when the right time came, they would have a conversation about it.

Malema had been paying tribute to the late Winnie Mandela yesterday when he had commented on the photo, where he had pointed out that the sisters could be seen wearing 'ANC colours'.

In other news, Zenani Mandela, Winnie's daughter, said that her mother has been robbed of her legacy while giving a speech at the one-year anniversary of her death yesterday. Zenani had added that she was disappointed in those who only came to her mother's defense after her death.
