American rapper, 50 Cent born Curtis Jackson has sold his mansion and is set to donate the money to charity.

50 Cent sold his 50,000 square foot pad with 21 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms for $3 million.

A source close to the rapper told TMZ every penny from the sale would be donated to 50 Cent's G-Unity Foundation.

The rapper has been trying to sell the massive property for years which he bought way back in 2007 for $18.5 million.

The 50 Cent Foundation is a project that provides grants to non-profit organisations which focus on improving the quality of life for low-income and under-served communities across America.

The baller pad palace has nine kitchens, outdoor infinity pool and grotto, indoor pool, helicopter pad, casino, nightclub, basketball courts and a pond.

Many people have heaped praise on 50 Cent over the move with many saying that he has put the money into good use.
