Cassper Nyovest has opened about how South African rappers are hated on by their own people. He used the fact that Nipsey was shot by someone in his hometown as an example.
The rapper was responding to a post by fellow rapper, L-Tido, which said that their hometowns are dangerous to them as musicians.
He said after his best friend Carpo almost got stabbed in their hometown, he realised that it's usually "your people" who are bothered by your success.
He went on to say that although he was happy about his success he knows that many people aren't happy for him and are constantly trying to pull him down.
"Nipsey was shot by someone he had an argument with earlier on in the day (sic). The fool went home to fetch a gun, came back and popped him. It's published information."
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously that the rapper received backlash after he called himself the best rapper in the country.
