UKZN celebrates graduates with lovely scenes of tears, dancing and joy

- The University of KwaZulu-Natal held its graduation ceremony recently and many memorable moments were shared via social media

- The university’s graduates are renowned for their over-the-top celebrations and this year was no different

- The graduates included some celebrities and awesome impromptu performances by some who were capped

Its graduation season and this is the time of the year that the University of KwaZulu-Natal comes alive.

The university is renowned for providing very memorable moments during their ceremonies and the same held true this year.

The scenes evoked emotions ranging from delight to amusement and some were just pure inspiration.

Some high-profile graduates were in attendance and musician, Holly Rey, was one of them.

Special recognition was reserved for Dr Willie Bester, one of the greatest resistance artists, who received an Honorary Doctorate in Literature.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was provided by Bachelor of Social Science graduate Zandile Sanele Shange.

She had the crowd going wild after an impromptu traditional Zulu dance.

The pride felt by some of the parents was clear for all to see.

Based on some of the photos, it seems many graduates were blessed with beauty and brains.
