Following former South African President Kgalema Motlanthe’s claim that the ANC is in worse shape under President Cyril Ramaphosa’s leadership, Briefly.co.za conducted an online poll for our readers to cast their votes. The results are in!
Former South African President, Kgalema Motlanthe, made the claim that the ANC is in a worse state now under the leadership of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Briefly.co.za then ran a poll to determine if South Africans agree and the results are finalised.
It caught some of us by surprise that the majority sided with Motlanthe as 61% agreed with his sentiments.
However, based on the comments, it seems that Ramaphosa has his fair share of supporters too.
Puputle Phaahla said, “I think Motlante may be is jealous of CR.”
Marcaveli Izyck added, “It has never been better, maybe we can give bit of credit to Thabo Mbheki.”
Tebogo GB Ramaphosa said, “He’s very intellectual and tactful, watch the space after the 8th of May.”
Vincent Vinicant Boshielo said, “Let him go to old age ,,,bakgabje one side ,,we fine with our leader viva ceryl viva.”
John Haupt said, “Unfortunately President Ramaphosa inherited a huge rogue state. With capturers of the state and a nearly bankrupt South Africa. Unfortunately he at this point is grappling with the appeasement of his cabinet and cares to keep the Anc functional and makes false promises to the very people he is supposed to protect and uplift. He is paralyzed with inaction for fear of the split of the Anc!”
Readers also shared their lack of confidence in the president and emphasised how bad the current situation is.
Rex Bester asked, “Who is Cyril Ramaposa? The leadership is under capture by Ace Magashule and David Mabuza, with their allies in the ANC's NEC.”
Michael Parrott said, “Under Motlante or Zuma, the ANC is NO BETTER than it is now. We, the People, need a new ruling party!!!!”
