Mapaseka recently announced that she is leaving the radio station. Many of the radio station's listeners loved her show, Home with Mapaseka, especially since it served a refreshing alternative to commercial radio content within the local radio industry.

According to ZAlebs, Mapaseka was with Kaya FM for the last 7 years on her 7pm to 9pm slot. Another great broadcaster, Thabiso Sikwane previously occupied this same time slot before Mapaseka took over.

After Mapaseka's big announcement, many of her fans agreed that her presenting skills remain unmatched and she always made them feel comfortable and at ease on her show.

I will miss the conversations and great insights from all the Afropolitans, contributors and broadcasters."

Relebongile Mabjota is another talented broadcaster who also gave notice to exit her position on Radio 702. She will join the breakfast team on SABC's Metro FM in May, as she did not want to leave on bad terms.

Meanwhile fans are still in the dark about whether Mapaseka will be joining another station or not?

Yesterday, Briefly.co.za reported that Somizi had opened up about being moved from the Fresh Breakfast Show in the recent Metro FM shuffle. He says that he missed the show but realised that he wasn't growing there.

Taking to Instagram LIVE, Somizi said that he felt that he was only a contributor to Fresh's show and wasn't able to show off what he's really good at - telling stories.

He said that even though he was not educated, he is wise and can share his wisdom better on his new slot.
