Yesterday, Mzansi hip-hop star, AKA, took to Twitter to share his frustration about peeps that are taking advantage of him and holding him back from furthering his career.
The entertainment industry is a cut-throat business in which everyone is looking to make extra dough wherever they can. AKA knows that, as he has been a victim in the past when he was taken advantage of and now it is having a negative effect on his career, preventing him from moving on.
The Fela in Versace hit-maker took to social media yesterday to share his frustrations with his fans. Although he didn't go into any details, we can see by his tweet that these shady business deals really have him on a low right now. He wrote:
"Today was supposed to be one of the most important of my career, for myself and my family. Unfortunately there are agreements and people that have taken advantage of me in the past that prevent me from moving forward in my future. We will fight this as hard as we can."
Although the Supa Mega didn't explain who did what to him, when and why, we are sure all will be revealed soon. The truth will always surface eventually.
AKA's fans were there to support him and shared their two cents' worth. Take a look below:
But we and even a tweep have an idea of what it could be, perhaps his "big endorsement deal" with Huawei didn't work out as planned.
A week ago, Briefly.co.za reported that AKA hinted that he is working with a new brand on his Instagram account, and although he didn't say with whom, it looks like he could be landing another endorsement deal.
The rapper just started working on a new partnership with Huawei SA but by the look of things, he may have just landed another big deal.
He wrote: "Something BIG is coming. I’m about to #RewriteTheRules #P30Series @huaweiza".
