Actress Ntando Duma had to speak up and defend herself as a mother after she got dragged for not putting her daughter, Sbahle, in a car seat. Ntando said the car wasn't even moving and people shouldn't lecture her on how to be a mom.
Ntando Duma, actress and TV personality, shared a video of her daughter that she thought was cute and would be something her (daughter's) followers would enjoy seeing.
The video showed the 2-year-old sitting in the back of a car speaking to Ntando, and at one point calling her by her name.
While many people did gush, others were quick to call to Ntando out for not having her little girl in a car seat, according to a report by TimesLIVE.
Ntando didn't appreciate the negative vibes people were sending her way and told people that the car wasn't even moving when the video was taken.
She added that people shouldn't lecture her on how to be a parent. Despite the comments basically calling Ntando a bad mother, she didn't get nasty.
1. The car was stationary. 2. She’s got car seats and is always on it, when necessary. 3. I’m not an irresponsible mother. You should know this by now. 4. Now let’s all drink water. 5. Thank you for your concern.
Of course, people on the internet always have a million opinions, and they were saying Ntando shouldn't even have made the video in a car with no car seat, regardless of whether the car was moving or not.
Briefly.co.za gathered that this upset Ntando and she told the 'negative Nancys' what she thought of them.
"How is my child not in a car seat in a stationary car jeopardising her safety?! Even if ke that was the case, ningenaphi? If you want to take this one for a debate, find me on my page and stop making a noise on my daughter’s page with your nonsense!"
Ntando shared the video on Sbahle's Instagram page, which is private.
