A disturbing video has surfaced online, showing a group of people mercilessly beating a woman. From the video it appears as if the mob was seeking justice after the woman allegedly stole from and attempted to infect her co-workers with HIV/Aids.
A video has caused a stir on social media, depicting a woman being beaten by a group of who one can assume are co-workers and her employer as punishment for what seems to be stealing.
Men can be seen donning boxing gloves while they attack the woman, who pleads for mercy and apologises.
Two women who had started off as onlookers, recording the incident, join in by beating the victim with a broom.
While the reason for the brutal beating seems to be theft, at a point one of the assailants asks the victim if she had wanted to give people HIV, something that is repeated when the woman in pink confronts her by saying, "Did you put your blood in my things?" before going on to beat her.
South Africans took to social media to share their dismay, calling for the assailants to be hunted down. One comment claims that the woman could possibly be from Zimbabwe.
