Pitso Mosimane has compared Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Themba Zwan,e to Andrés Iniesta, the former Barcelona star midfielder.

This comes after Zwane scored the first goal in Sundowns' 5–0 win against Al Ahly over the weekend.

Mosimane said that Zwane's ability to skate by opposition team members and avoid being stopped or tackled reminded him of Iniesta. He also pointed out that Zwane's speed had been a major asset for the team in their match against Al Ahly.

He added that he gave Zwane, and fellow teammate Gaston Sirino, greater freedom on the field and allowed them to determine how Sundowns played, to a large extent.

He said that the team did their research by watching several of Al Ahly's matches. He said this was why they tried to play faster and move the ball more in their game.

Sundowns still have a long way to go, but it seem their sights are now firmly set on the CAF Champions League semi-final.
