A tweet shared by user, @LungiNaidoo, proved very popular via social media on Sunday.

She shared that her parents were celebrating their anniversary and that they were only able to tie the knot following the end of apartheid.

The interracial couple are pictured in the tweet as well.

Lungi is a singer/ songwriter and also confirmed that the strict law prior to 1994 is what forced her parents to delay marriage.
