According to reports, as much as 26 bullet shells were found on the scene. The hitmen fled in their BMW, which they set alight in a field several kilometres away.
South Africans were shocked over the horrific videos and they shared their views on social media. Many pointed out that Djordjevic should just have stayed in his bulletproof car.
Binimi SA commented: "So his car has "bulletproof" but instead of trying to drive off, he decide to get out of his car and run."
Ernest Tembo added: "Djordjevic could have just chilled in the car & the magazines were gonna run empty. Remarkably, he looks a bit old for that supersonic takeoff."
Robyne Chabant wrote: "That was very clever!! get out a BULLETPROOF car and try and out run bullets!!"
