Heartbroken dad talks about losing son: "I can't let this go"

A devastated father took to social media to share how painful it is to lose a child and how one never gets over it, even as time goes by.

Social media influencer, Daniel Marven, started a hashtag on Twitter, #ProudFathersWithDaniel. However, where many fathers shared adorable photos with their kids, one dad was reminded of what he lost.

On Monday, a heartbroken dad, who has been identified simply by his Twitter handle @Aggrey_idol, shared how he lost his son more than a year ago and how it still haunts him to this day.

"#ProudFathersWIthDaniel I wish I could say I am a proud father but I lost my son! Even today I can't let this go... Been 18 months now," his post read.

Social media users were heartbroken over @Aggrey_idol's post and they took to the comment section to send him their condolences.

Twitter user @Katlego_Sii commented: "My most sincere condolences Brother. May God shower light on your life ahead, and guide you through."
Another tweep, @Nomsa_nkanzela, added: "I'm so sorry my brother to hear that may God heal you even though it won't be completely go away he's a part of your living life."
