- His fans showed him an abundance of support and Dr Tumi was extremely grateful
There comes a time in everyone’s life where they turn to others for help, as was the case for gospel musician, Dr Tumi. He took the brave step of sharing with his fans how he has struggled to cope with exhaustion and asked them to pray for him.
Tumi took the time to ask for forgiveness for all the calls and messages he had not responded to. He said that he just needed time to rest and to escape from everything.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Tumi posted a tweet to all his fans this week conveying to them that he was unaware of just how tired he was. He said that he requires one day to be able to just breathe and to get into bed early and have a peaceful night’s sleep.
The gospel star also explained that he has so much going on and his diary for the year was almost full. He emphasised that he needs strength to get through it all and asked everyone to keep him in their prayers.
All Tumi’s fans were quick to respond by sending messages wishing him well and so many offering their support.
When Tumi returned he had a message for his fans. He said that they should never be tempted to be someone else, they are made to be who they are. They have been created in a unique fashion to be able to serve a specific purpose that no other man can.
He went on to say that should they live their lives the way God intended, they will win. He then wrote that it had just became a reality to himself, and he ain’t gonna change who God made him.
Last year, Tumi spoke to TshisaLIVE about the previous occasions he had battled with depression. He said that there were times when he felt not only exhausted but also empty.
Tumi explained that he thinks the way he was looking at his life was in a way that he did not quite understand his purpose. He questioned why he was alive and what the fuss was all about. The overwhelming thing for Tumi was to think that he just existed.
Going through these emotions took a toll on him and had him depressed for a couple of months. He was at the stage where he did not find any meaning to life at all.
