Mzansi social media users have slammed an ANC elections campaign after images surfaced of minors, wearing the party T-shirts, sitting in the back of an open bakkie.

Many slammed the irresponsible behaviour from the party to allow the reckless activities. One Twitter user said:

"ANC is becoming desperate now,they might even be taking them to Home Affairs to get them IDs just so they can vote."

Another user, Mbuso Ndlovu, said it was child abuse.

"How did we even get here, this child abuse seriously. I might not know much but this is wrong."

Others were willing to give the ruling party the benefit of the doubt, reasoning that the car was stationary, so it was not unsafe.

Baphele Ndlovu said:

"It’s not moving ...they are just chilling at the back of the bakkie that’s all-according to the pic."
