It is believed that Zuma was repyling to a tweet that Magashule sent him yesterday to wish him a happy birthday. Zuma celebrates his 77th birthday yesterday.
Magashule wrote: "I'd like to wish President @PresJGZuma a happy birthday. Ukhule Nxamalala #ZumaDay."
But Zuma's reply was a little strange. He wrote: "Thank you my SG and stay resolute during these times."
Two days ago, Briefly.co.za reported that the ANC secretary-general, Ace Magashule, said Gangster State author, Pieter-Louis Myburgh, doesn't deserve the attention he's getting.
This comes after the author's Sandton City book launch was disrupted and plans were circulated to burn copies of his book this week. Magashule condemned the chaos at the launch, as well as the burning of the books, saying it only gave Myburgh more attention.
Myburgh's book grabbed attention in recent weeks for the extensive allegations of corruption it levels against Magashule. According to the book, Magashule took cuts of many tenders awarded while he was Free State premier, among other offences.
Magashule, however, denies the claims in the book and said he may take legal action against Myburgh.
While some took the opportunity to wish Msholozi a happy birthday, others voiced their opinions that the ANC is in trouble ahead of 2019 elections next month.
Here are some of the tweets trending on Twitter.
