Mzansi is concerned with the well-being of a young woman after a video went viral which showed hijackers dragging her by the hair before they stole her car.
On Saturday, a video was posted on social media which showed a young female getting ambushed by hijackers in Randburg, Johannesburg.
According to Daily Dispatch, the victim is a 19-year-old Namibian student who has been in South Africa since January.
Briefly.co.za learned the student, who was shot at and dragged by her hair, was on her way to visit family friends when the hijackers jumped her at the gates of a security complex over the weekend.
At first the young lady refuses to open the car door and after several moments one of the hijackers is seen shooting through the window, shattering it.
He then opens the door and pulls out the young woman by her hair.
South Africans were left heartbroken for the young victim and they slammed the behaviours of criminals in the country.
Thuli Phakathi commented: "She’s so petrified, she will never recover from this. SOUTH AFRICA!"
Lorraine Teixeira added: "Problem is, they allowed to get away with it! There is no punishment in this country."
Prince Khumalo wrote: "Absolute sickening disgusting behaviour, that young lady's life will never be the same again."
