The year 2017 was a tough one for the Koboekae family.
Not only did they have to contend with powerful storms, but their home was also destroyed as a result.
The family struggled for 2 long years, but their prayers were answered as a group of Good Samaritans came to their rescue.
The partnership between the Collen Mashawana Foundation and Afribiz Invest came to the party in a big way and rebuilt the home at no cost.
The organisations have been working in the Bekkersdal area for the last few weeks and rebuilt countless homes for worthy recipients.
The news was shared by the Chairman of Afribiz Invest, Collen Mashawana, via Facebook recently.
Mashawana is renowned for his philanthropy and Briefly.co.za has already published numerous articles in this regard.
The before-and-after photos reveal the stunning transformation.
Comparing the pics, one can immediately note that the family’s house wasn’t merely rebuilt, but upgraded.
The message from Mashawana is clear – the private sector need not wait on government only to make a positive impact on the lives of South Africans.
