The pressure ahead of next month's election is apparently too much for the ANC, with a billboard in Port Elizabeth boasting that the ruling party wants us to do more 'togher'.
Renaldo Gouws, a Democratic Alliance councilor and YouTube personality, was probably bursting with glee when he posted a photo of a misspelt ANC billboard in his hometown.
Gouws commented that there were many billboards popping up around Port Elizabeth with the same error, omitting two letters to turn 'together' into 'togher'.
The DA councilor naturally seized the chance to humiliate his political opponent, commenting that:
"Many of these have popped up around Nelson Mandela Bay today. Needless to say, I didn't expect anything more from the ANC. Well done, Cyril Ramaphosa."
After winning a by-election in Nelson Mandela Bay during March, Gouws often discusses politics and current affairs on YouTube, reported The Citizen.
With national elections only three weeks away, things are set to get hairy as political parties go toe-to-toe for their spot at the helm of South Africa.
Briefly.co.za reported yesterday that Cyril Ramaphosa had denied rumors that he was facing being removed as the head of the ANC. Julius Malema, leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, had claimed that Ramaphosa would be fired at the next national executives meeting.
