After so many years as an actress, Nthati is still passionate about what she does. She loves her job so much, she says she'll only stop acting when she's in her 90s.

"I will stop acting when I am 97. That's my cut-off. I don't dream about producing or directing or anything else... acting is my passion. Even [if] it means going months without work, what is meant to be always comes around."

The talented actress bagged the Golden Horn Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role in a TV Drama twice and also won the Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Programme or Mini-Series.

Nthathi is currently seen on the popular TV show, Lockdown, in which she plays Masabatha.

SowetanLIVE reported that Mzansi was excited to see Nthathi return to their screens.

Briefly.co.za gathered that Masabatha's entrance was rather epic, with even fearless Zim Zim in a hurry to get out of her way.

Nthathi was thrown in the deep end with this character, but she's sure to nail it. She already did a great job in her first appearance.

She says it was a whole new experience playing a blind character.

"I'm a method person and prefer being prepared. But it was a welcome challenge. Being as self-critical as I am, I do hope I did the role justice. It certainly was unlike anything I've ever done."
