A video has been shared via social media, which shows a man trying to break into a car in broad daylight.

The footage shows the criminal initially walking past, but then making a U-turn once the car catches his eye.

However, as he attempts to force the car door open, a nasty surprise awaits him as the driver gets out.

The vehicle has tinted windows and the thief was unaware that the car was occupied.

The driver swiftly gets out and forces the thug against the wall.

As the video comes to an end, the driver can be seen choking the thug and begins striking him.
