Scandal! had another live Q&A session with one of their actors answering some of the show's fans' questions, and this time it was Bongile Mantsai, the man behind the most hated villain on the show, Mthunzi Mayisa.
In the second live Q&A session by Scandal!, fans got to send in questions for Bongile Mantsai, the actor who brings to life the show's hated bad guy, Mthunzi Mayisa.
The actor was happy to answer the question and seemed pleased with the many compliments he got for his acting.
It takes a good actor to make an entire country hate you.
With his charming smile, he was the Mthunzi we all love to hate, without all the negative vibes and the massive chip on the shoulder.
One of the very first questions was (of course) when Mthunzi will finally get caught.
Bongile said he also hopes that Mthunzi will get caught at some point, that's what the people want. And he hopes that the conman can maybe have a new life.
And when asked what's next, he said he doesn't know. But he told fans to keep watching, there is more to come, there is fire coming. He let slip that he is about to give the Langa family a break.
However, he added that he's not going anywhere. Not any time soon.
Bongile pointed out that the show's characters are based on real people who exist in Mzansi, and that's why he affects people so much - there are people like Mthunzi in real life.
The actor also talked about being happy to speak Xhosa and being able to express himself in the language.
However, being the bad guy isn't all fun and games.
Bongile said it is hard to play the villain, and that all the lies make it difficult. He said it's a role that challenges you as an actor, and added that it's important to know the person you're playing.
The actor says he goes deep into Mthunzi's psychological processes to act him out the best.
When asked who he loves more between Chichi and Xolile, he said that the love for Chichi has changed and that Xolile is his ticket to get what he wants.
He doesn't always know what to expect and sometimes gets nervous when he gets his script. He said he also doesn't like that Mthunzi is constantly winning, wants to see Mthunzi challenged and scared.
For the ladies that were wondering - the handsome actor is not married yet, but he's focused on his career for now.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Bongile also talked about the work ethic on Scandal!'s set. He admires the way everyone wants to be prepared for their shots and it inspires him to 'up his game'
Finally, the actor said he likes the fire that Romeo brings when he fights Mthunzi, he thinks Mthunzi is actually a little scared of him because he's so determined and such a challenger.
For more of the villain with the charming smile, be sure to tune in to Scandal!'s next episode.
