Juju shuts down man claiming he's in the hospital: 'I'm here'

On Tuesday, rumours started circulating on social media which claimed Julius Malema was rushed to a hospital following a long day of campaigning. However, the EFF head was quick to shut down the false stories.

On Tuesday, Economic Freedom Figthers (EFF) leader, Julius Malema, rubbished claims that he was admitted to the hospital over his 'ill health'.

Juju responded to a tweet that claimed he had to be rushed to a hospital to seek out emergency medical care.

Promise Mkwananzi, who goes by the Twitter handle‏ @pmkwananzi, posted on the social media platform that he heard Juju was hospitalised.

"I'm told CIC @Julius_S_Malema rushed to hospital. Our prayers are with the people of South Africa and indeed the whole of Africa. We pray for our leader," he captioned his tweet.

However, Briefly.co.za saw the tweet caught the attention of CIC Malema himself, who quickly shut down rumours that he was in the hospital.

"Not at all, I'm here. Going to Mgungundlovu in KZN today," Malema set Mkwananzi straight.

Social media users went on to slam Mkwananzi for having a bogus source, who clearly aimed to spread lies.

Twitter user, @GertRhenolda, commented: "Thats their wish. CIC is here to stay no evil formed against him will prosper. #VivaEFF."
Madimetja Mabotja, who goes by the Twitter handle‏ @madimetjaJames, commented: "You can’t keep a good man down. False rumours."
