When Somizi heard Kurt Darren's rendition of South Africa's national anthem, he couldn't help but react. And as always, the star was honest in what he thinks, as well as hilarious in how he shared his honesty.
Somizi isn't shy to share his opinion, and he did so recently about the debacle around Afrikaans singer, Kurt Darren, and his national anthem blunder.
Darren was chosen to sing the national anthem at the final match between Stellenbosch and Pretoria Universities at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch, but made headlines when he fuddled the lyrics.
Many people felt that it was a disgrace, and others found it hilarious. Most people were just superbly unimpressed with the musician.
Somizi took to social media to tell his fans how he feels about Darren singing the anthem so wrong.
Somizi mockingly sang the anthem and said that it's not that easy, making fun of how Darren messed it up.
The entertainer then went on to get the Afrikaans part of the anthem wrong - on purpose - just to joke about the whole thing.
Somizi added that he is very happy how South Africans called the singer out for his mistake.
"I like how South Africans are calling him to order. It is not a black or white thing, it is a SA thing."
Briefly.co.za gathered that Darren has since laughed off the incident, saying that he didn't get that much wrong and that it's not a big deal - he gets his own songs wrong sometimes too.
