Could you picture the popular ‘Cheaters’ television series being filmed in Mzansi?

Well, Capetonians got a taste for it after a woman caught her husband red-handed in broad daylight.

The jilted wife lost all composure and went crazy as she verbally lashed out at her husband and then physically assaulted the young mistress.

Explosive video footage shows how the woman starts her tirade on a busy street in Athlone, Cape Town.

The altercation quickly drew a crowd of shocked onlookers as the wife started to shout at her husband.

She tosses his work documents aside and orders him to walk home – the man seemingly obliges.

All hell then breaks loose as the wife then directs her anger at the mistress sitting in the car.

Moments later, the wife starts a vicious assault on the younger lady.

The poor mistress can be heard screaming in anguish in the background.

Briefly.co.za gathered that the wife’s son assisted her in punishing the mistress.

The incident was caught on camera and went viral in record time.

The video was initially shared by Uzayr Achmat and then Deen Times via Facebook.

Incredibly, the video attracted more than 1 000 comments since being shared on Monday.

Social media users were split as some sided with the irate wife, but many felt the show of aggression was out of line.

Jolene Samuels said, “Antie as jy die lees: Your man made vows to you, he owes you loyalty, nobody else. You and your son are both fools and you’re holding the wrong person accountable. I hope she sues the last beige rug panty off your ass.”
Vivia-Ann Lawrence replied, “Jolene Samuels I agree... that lady now has the right to put her in jail.... sjoe and I bet she is sleeping next to her "cheater husband" tonight... wow for all to see... hope they don’t have kids.”
