Blade Nzimande has social media users laughing out loud after he got his syntax mixed up while addressing the 'hot cross bun' video on SABC News.
Minister Blade Nzimande had a blooper on live TV as he tried to explain the hot cross bun's effect would not be a valid excuse this Easter Weekend.
Briefly.co.za previously reported a video went viral which showed a cop doing a breathalyser test before and after he ate a hot cross bun and the result were different.
While speaking to the SABC News, Nzimande clarified the hot cross bun effect on the breathalyser, adding a new test would pick up accurate levels.
However, instead on saying 'alcohol in your blood,' Nzimande said the test would pick up 'blood in your alcohol' and it had social media users in stitches.
According to The Citizen, Nzimande spoke about a new breathalyser that he claimed could give very accurate readings without advanced lab conditions.
The video sparked quite the reaction and Mzansi could not keep a straight face while watching the clip.

Another tweep, @12bouls, commented: "English! Just when you need it the most, Poof! There it goes."
