Comedian Trevor Gumbi was overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from his fans after he shared a message on social media about the struggles he is faced with.
Life is not as easy as we often want it to be, and people often go through phases of their life faced with trying times, obstacles and even bad patches.
It looks like comedian Trevor Gumbi has been his dealt his pack of bad cards in his life now. The Mzansi star took to Instagram to open up about his struggles.
He wrote: "Just when I think I've taken more knocks than I can handle, life serves me with yet another knock. It's getting much harder to get up but I must, as hard and bleak as it seems, I must get up. Even with no light on the horizon and no hope to get up for. Fall down 99 times, get up 100 times. Play to the final whistle!"
After sharing that post, Mzansi fans showered the star with support, encouragement and words of wisdom. And we really hope that it lifted his spirits.
Here are a few comments from Gumbi's Instagram post.
Chanitafoster: "You Got This! Keep Going! Love you Friend!!!"

Sphectacula: "Simon says Get the fuck up!
Mokgadi: "Keep in Trev. As Nipsey Hussle said: “The game is gonna test you. Never fold. Stay 10 toes down. It’s not on you, it’s in you, and what’s in you they can’t take away.”✊"
Tt_da_god: "As long as you keep showing up for yourself in this manner nothing can hold you down chief..."

About a month ago, Briefly.co.za reported that comedian Trevor Gumbi very possibly tried to shoot his shot at gaining Thando Thabethe's reaction after he responded to her tweet yesterday.
The Mzansi star was divorced from his wife Lucille a while back, and is very much single now. He has not had a public romance since. Which is why we believe either he was just fooling around being the usual funny-man or he is reading to dive into the celeb dating pool with the gorgeous Thando Thabethe, so is also very much single.
She tweeted about making room for what you've prayed for which is an inspiring quote, but Trevor cheekily retweeted her post by adding: "I've cleared half the wardrobe for your stuff and the good side of the bed is ready for you."
