A Durban man has gone viral on social media after he was photographed with a funny placard on a busy intersection in the city.

The placard, which was written in Zulu, basically said:

"Keep driving. I don't want your money, I'm just standing here"

Social media users were left amused and confused about why the man would do something like this.

Twitter user Thobeka-Rare Magcai said:

"This country is full of surprises!"

Nontobeko Ndlela thought it was all a joke, saying:

"I assume this is a comedian"
