- Hearts were warmed across Mzansi when a woman posted a shout-out to her baby girl, along with a beautiful picture
- The woman’s daughter was born weighing under 1kg and had to stay in hospital for 2 months after her birth
- Despite the odds, the baby girl is now strong healthy and her mom couldn’t be happier
A social media user known as Mimmy has captured the hearts of many South Africans with the inspiring story of her sweet baby girl, Sbonga.
Sbonga was born premature and dangerously tiny, weighing less than 1kg.
However, Mimmy’s little “figher” made it through, with the help of professional medical care and a loving mommy.
Now, Sbonga is a bright-eyed and bubbly bundle of cuteness, with a startling resemblance to her mom!
Social media users offered words of congratulations and kindness to the beautiful duo.
Briefly.co.za found that many were transfixed by Sbonga’s gorgeous, big eyes.
Others shared their own touching stories of tough birth stories and their own little ‘fighters’.
Sbonga then smashed the cuteness scale in two follow-up pictures, to say thank you for all the support from other social media users.
