For a while now, it looked as if singer Zahara's life was spinning out of control. She has admitted to having issues with alcohol and it was reported that she's not doing so great financially.

But Zahara says things are looking up - she's got gigs booked until December.

Apparently, Zahara's previous management wasn't doing what's best for her.

"People would call, wanting to book me, but were told I wasn’t available and the space would be given to other artists." gathered that in some cases it happened that promoters paid for her to perform, but she was never informed about the gigs. She'd then get accused of bailing on events that she didn't even know about.

It came to light that things were strained between Zahara and her manager and business partner, Sanele Dlamini, after Sanele claimed the singer was looking for public sympathy.

He added that the star failed to manage her finances, which led her to her excessive drinking and seeking out bad company.

The singer has now started her own company with the help of Oyama Dyosiba, her cousin.

All this comes after Zahara claimed that her former label, TS Records, owes her millions of Rands.

That matter has not yet been resolved, as far as available information reveals.
