Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that gets people to smile.
A short video clip shared via social media didn’t say much, but South Africans found it hilarious.
The footage shows a man trying his best to quote the popular phrase: ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover.’
Unfortunately, the man continuously confuses himself as soon as he says the second or third word in the sentence.
At first he says, “Don’t cover the judge,” and this is closely followed by different variations, but all incorrect.
Eventually, he accepts defeat and says, “Just don’t do it.”
Briefly.co.za noted that the video went viral with more than 200 comments and 500 likes.
South Africa Live shared the video on Monday and has already been viewed 39 000 times.
Facebook users couldn’t stop laughing as the comments poured in.

Toyer Matthews commented, “The ‘Queen’s language’ taking a beating again.”
Lourens Verheem said, “You should be President Sir.”
Kevin Hendrick Visagie replied, “That painful moment when your English data bundles are done.”
Joseph Twin said, “Blood is inside your alcohol braa.”
