Briefly.co.za gathered that many South Africans feared the worst after witnessing the footage.

The crime was perpetrated in a different country, but some wondered if it would inspire similar scenes closer to home.

Thierry Mala said, “This is serious Matter.”
Nambahu Neshuku said, “South Africa is finished.”
Judy Basson added, “Next level... wow how brazen.”

Based on some of the responses, the footage was taken from an incident in Northern Ireland.

Fiona Bennett Lewis said, “There was 15 atm stolen, in the past few months between North and South of Ireland. They also used stolen jcb, and flat beds.”
Onalenna Mbenda commented, “We all against crime at any level but for this one, fair deal because nobody lost life there.”
Zakhele Mazaka Nxumalo added: “I like how they load it in the car ha ha ha.”
