Mzansi hip-hop artist, K.O, has been going through some stuff that has him facing some real health concerns. K.O opened up and admitted that he is suffering depression which has led to extreme weight-loss and health concerns.
It seems that the hip-hop scene in Mzansi is an extremely stressful environment. With HHP passing away from depression and Cassper Nyovest recently announcing his struggle with depression, a red flag has definitely been raised.
Briefly.co.za learnt that K.O opened up about his depression on Metro FM. K.O stated that it all started when his company, Cashtime, crippled.
The hip-hop star said that he found himself in a downward spiral that he just could not get out of. The pressure got too much and he just could not take it.
K.O revealed that he scrapped his second album because of all the stress and that he was in an extremely dark place with little inspiration. Since 2017, K.O has been fighting this battle and still he can’t find a way out.
For an artist to have to ask themselves if this is the end of their career is an extremely scary thing. K.O lost all motivation and did not know if he would ever come back from it, but his passion for music was always there.
K.O recently took to social media where he expressed his struggle to his followers. Depression is a serious thing and creating awareness is K.O’s way of trying to take control.
