- Kaizer Chiefs have parted ways with 3 prominent players in Hendrick Ekstein, Gustavo Paez, and Kgotso Malope
- The club broke the news on Thursday and Chiefs supporters agreed with the decision for the most part
- The Amakhosi close off the league season with 3 tough games, including 2 teams fighting relegation
Kaizer Chiefs haven’t enjoyed the best of seasons and many called for an overhaul during the transfer window.
It seems the Amakhosi are keen to start that process as they announced the departure of three players on Thursday.
Hendrick ‘Pule’ Ekstein, Gustavo Paez and Kgotso Malope have all been axed.
Malope was previously loaned out to Moroka Swallows and his presence shouldn’t be missed too much by Chiefs supporters.
Paez joined Chiefs as a striker in 2017, but the Venezuelan hasn’t lived up to the expectations.
However, Ekstein’s departure seems to be polarising opinions as the midfielder has been enjoying his best spell of form for the Glamour Boys.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Chiefs coach, Ernst Middendorp, has also seemingly taken a liking to Ekstein and he seemed to be in the plans going forward.
Supporters shared some strong reactions to the news via social media.
