Men doing things without consent, is something Charlize Theron feels strongly against. Ain’t no body got time for a forceful man!
The American - South African actress was promoting her latest movie, Long Shot. She was accompanied by her co-star Seth Rogen while on a live French TV show, Touche pas à mon poste. She took this opportunity to express how she felt with regards to the importance of consent.
Briefly.co.za learnt that a clip was shared on Twitter which shows Charlize verbalising her opinion of a TV presenter who thought it was okay to kiss a female interpreter without getting her permission before hand.
In the video it shows the presenter, Cyril Hanouna, making his way to Nadia, the interpreter, who happens to be standing next to Charlize, and kissing her on the cheek.
It is quite clear that both Charlize and Nadia are totally uncomfortable with the situation. Charlize then commented that Hanouna should ask next time!
After the video was viewed, Charlize was praised by Twitter users for commenting to the presenter about his unacceptable actions. This is apparently not the first time that this specific presenter has portrayed bad behaviour.
Hanouna faced repercussions for posting a fake advertisement in 2017. The advertisement was placed on a gay dating site and thereafter mocking respondents on air, this was according to Independent UK.
