A video of man blasting shop owners for selling expensive airtime has gone viral. The man is upset because he has to pay more for R10 airtime.
In the footage, the ANC shirt-clad man, who claimed to be a 'leader', raged about the fact that 'foreigners' overcharge when they sell airtime. He said that it was illegal to charge more for the product.
The person recording the video responded by telling him that they charge more in order to make a profit. She made an example, saying that banks charge customers when they make transactions.
This argument did not sway the angry man, however, as he angrily shouted:
"This is unlawful!"
He said that he would prove that the practice was illegal but didn't explain how as he was soon escorted out of the shop, where he continued raging outside.
