A man has been called a hero after he went out of his way to return a lost phone to its owner. His good deed was shared on Facebook, where many applauded him.
Mr Johannes Tlali picked the phone up in the basement parking lot of a shopping centre in Bloemfontein. He went the extra mile to makes sure that the misplaced phone got back to the grateful owner safe and sound.
Facebook users were most impressed by his kind and honest heart. André Small said:
"There are still a lot of good people out there. Awesome."
While Maureen Dunmore van Rensburg said:
"Bravo for displaying such perfect integrity! God bless you!"
Jenny Rex Eales had a different take about the situation, saying:
"This is wonderful. What I find extremely sad is that we are surprised by it. It should be the norm NOT the exception."
