Caught red-handed: Thief filmed trying to mug a man on train

Mzansi was left stunned by a video of a thug stealing from a passenger on a train in broad daylight and a person filming it without helping.

On Tuesday, a video was posted on social media which showed a man rummaging through the pockets of a sleeping train passenger, taking whatever he can get his hands on.

According to South Africa Live, the video was filmed somewhere in Africa, but Briefly.co.za gathered social media users claimed it took place overseas.

Dashboardwhere the video was filmed, it quickly went viral, reaching over 33 000 views in just four hours.

South Africans slammed both the thief and the person who recorded the video without stopping the crime against the train passenger.

Shlobile Ndlovukazi Khumalo commented: "Disgusting behaviour for both the thief and the person recording this."
Shuaib Amod added: "So is it wrong to hope that the person making this video also gets robbed one day"
Moses Phiri wrote: "How can you take a video of some doing bad and not do anything about it."
Nomvula Mapule Makgato said: "What's the use of recording if not helping the person who is searched by this thug."
