- The Zimbabwean EFF has urged South Africans to vote for Julius Malema's Economic Freedom Fighters
- The party also slammed the ANC and DA
- In a statement, they also called for a borderless Africa which would use a single currency
The Zimbabwean EFF has called on South Africans to vote for the EFF in this year's election.
The Zimbabwean Economic Freedom Fighters are a political party inspired by Julius Malema's EFF, with similar policies and ideology.
In a statement, the Zimbabwean EFF said that the EFF was the only South African party that could deliver 'economic emancipation'.
The Zimbabwean EFF said that political freedom in South Africa had not led to economic freedom for many citizens. They touted the EFF as the solution to these problems, calling the party 'progressive, transformative and radical':, according to IOL.
In particular, the Zimbabwean EFF urged South Africans of Zimbabwean origin to cast their ballots for the red berets.
They also condemned the ANC and DA, calling the ruling party 'underachieving' and alleging that the DA was 'nolstagic of the basskaap years', Briefly.co.za has gathered.
The Zimbabwean EFF also called for land expropriation without compensation, as well as for a borderless integrated Africa sharing a single currency. Malema has expressed a similar view in recent weeks.
For example, he said during an interview that an EFF government would get rid of South Africa's borders. He said they needed to go, describing them as colonial impositions.
