Video footage has emerged of trucks drifting on the streets during an eThekwini municipaliity workers' protest.
The workers reportedly embarked on a strike in the Durban central business district, leading to traffic congestion. According to other reports some roads were blocked by municipal trucks.
Some of the protesters even took to using the trucks to drift on the road and Mzansi social media users were not amused.
Twitter user Allan said:
"It's called ANARCHY ! The disobedience cultivated by the @MYANC has come home to bite them in the ass. #Karma at it's best!"
Gina Blackburn said:
"You can thank the @MYANC mayor gumede for this disaster. Corruption is everywhere."
Michael Ellys was particularly upset and said:
"Why why my South Africans brother why are doing this? This is our country why are we destroying our street! No matter what the government do we can’t do this, the whole world is looking at us and laughing at us. Let’s stop this, there’s better ways to protest"
