A video has surfaced showing the terrible conditions of a road in the Free State. Mzansi social media users have expressed outrage over the poor state of the road.
The footage was shared on Facebook by a principal's daughter, who travels 125km daily on the road in Kroonstad to get to work. The road is full of potholes and almost impossible to drive on.
The caption on the uploaded video said:
"If this isn't blatant neglect and total disregard towards South African tax-paying citizens, who knows what is! Kroonstad, the third largest city in the Free State, yet residents have to deal with conditions like these."
Many on the social network expressed outrage at the how the road looked. Facebook user, Margot Smith, said:
"It is very sad but I don't think it is just the roads that are showing signs of neglect and poor management."
While Jolie Callison said:
"At this point they'd be better off just driving through the fields."
Thapelo Archnels Sizani blamed the ruling party for the state of the road and said:
"Sies ANC, the gravel road is even far better then driving in this tar."
