Today is the last day for Panyaza Lesufi as the MEC of Gauteng's Education Department. Lesufi took to social media to bid farewell to his collegues and to hint at his hopes for post-election deployment.
Panyaza Lesufi bids farewell to the Department of Education in Gauteng today and seemingly expects to be deployed again post-elections.
The MEC took to social media to drop hints that he hopes to be deployed, perhaps in a different portfolio, for his next term in office reports TimesLIVE.
Lesufi explained that he was only vacating his office because it was "the end of the political term and the beginning of the new sixth administration".
When questioned on his plans for the future, he replied that the voters will decide, hinting at a possible return to government should the ANC emerge victorious from next week's election.
Dan Moyane took to social media to bid farewell to the politician, posting that:
"Politics aside Panyaza, you are one of those few leaders in your party who lead by example in terms of your work. You take public service seriously. You don't just sit in your office. You respect people. Wonder what your future holds after #Elections2019?"
