A video was shared on social media which showed motorists and passersby looting an overturned booze truck.
On Thursday, a video was shared on South Africa Live's Facebook page which showed South Africans helping themselves to bottles of Heineken after the truck overturned.
"Scenes of joy were captured on film today after residents discovered an overturned Heineken truck!" the video was captioned.
Briefly.co.za could not determine when or where the video was filmed.
Since it was posted on social media, the video gathered over 41 000 views and South Africans had a hilarious reaction to the footage.
Brian Smith wrote: "Ramaphosa sent us booze, long live Ramaphosa, such a wonderful man so thoughtful to think of the previously-disadvantaged masses."
Malema Malema said: "I wish one day a truck full of textbooks would overturn, I want to see something."
Alexander Blows added: "What a blessing in disguise lol."
