SA reacts to Rasta's portrait of Juju: "We want our old Rasta back"

Mzansi's favourite artist is back. Or is he? Rasta was recently at the EFF Tshela Thupa rally and painted a portrait of Julius Malema. But one thing that really stood out for the people of Mzansi - the painting was actually good.

Rasta is known for his less-than-realistic representations of people he paints, but his painting of Juju was surprisingly accurate. Many Mzansi social media users were unhappy about this as they have grown to love Rasta's previous work.

Twitter user Inno Lakaje said:

"We want our old Rasta back."

CocoLe asked Rasta if he's been going for lessons.

Others concluded that maybe Rasta was scared of Julius Malema and his fighters, hence the better portrait.

Minister Carti even went as far as to say that the previous portraits must have been a PR stunt:

"Rasta no mahn so all those bad painting were just a publicity stunt"
