Julius Malema has urged white South Africans to share land and other assets or risk losing everything altogether. The Economic Freedom Fighter said that South Africa can only move forward peacefully if equality is achieved.
EFF leader Julius Malema wants white South Africans to share their land and wealth or risk losing everything.
Addressing supporters at the party's final election rally in Soweto, Malema claims that the only way progress in South Africa will be achieved is through equality and accused white citizens of protecting their privilege.
The state of the economy has featured prominently as the country gears up for Wednesday's election, with countless people caving under the strain of the increased cost of living.
In light of this the EFF head issued a warning to white South Africans, saying that:
“We’re fighting to sit at the dinner table with you. White people you will no longer eat alone. We’re coming to sit at the dinner table and if you’re refusing us, we’re going to destroy that dinner table. No one is going to eat.”
According to Eyewitness News, Malema explained that there needed to be access to land in SA, a notion that has aided the party in achieving its current popularity. Thousands of supporters cheered in agreement to this sentiment, highlighting the weight this movement holds with those who follow the EFF.
